We hiked for 40 minutes from Mane Bhanjyang (1100m) with views towards Botebas through bamboo forests to Arun Than (1280m), where we stopped briefly to buy some fresh rice. It took only another 20 minutes to traverse across the hillside, still climbing through fields, bamboo groves and big rocks to Sheka (1350m), where we camped next to a house just below the local school. The overnight temperature was 20C with some light rain.
